Better Housing Better Health (BHBH) is a longstanding service working to reduce and prevent the number of people in fuel poverty, and so improve health and well-being. It is coordinated by the National Energy Foundation and is a network of many other health and social care orientated organisations, with a cross-referral mechanism in place to maximise help available to residents.
If you would like some advice on lowering your energy bills, switching provider/tariff or accessing financial assistance, or would like to chat about any aspect of keeping warm and well then contact the free helpline today on 0800 107 0044 (Monday to Friday 9.00am - 5.00pm) or email [email protected].
Also on offer is BHBH+ which is a free home energy service for vulnerable residents in Oxfordshire supported by Oxfordshire County Council and the NHS Clinical Commissioning Group. The trained home energy advisor can offer advice on things such as insulation, heating systems and energy bills during a free home energy visit. They will assess your property and refer or signpost you to other services that can help you save money and stay warm and well in your home. You can find the referral form here.
