A proud moment for Haddenham: Haddenham Park named Luxury Care Home of the Year

2nd October 2026

A national award celebrates a very special Buckinghamshire home, where beautiful living, exceptional care and the freedom to continue being yourself come together.

There is plenty to celebrate at Haddenham Park Care Home & Apartments after the home was named winner of the Knight Frank Luxury Care Home of the Year Award for 2027, on Thursday 1st September at the Londoner Hotel for the Knight Frank Healthcare Property Lunch.

Since opening its doors in 2025, Haddenham Park has been bringing a fresh vision of later life to Buckinghamshire. A place to make new friends, enjoy a little adventure, spend precious time together and feel wonderfully at home, with care and support that evolve alongside you.

Now, that vision has received national recognition. The win follows another proud moment earlier this year, when Majesticare, the care group behind Haddenham Park, was named Residential Elderly Care Provider of the Year, Small Group at the HealthInvestor Awards 2026.

For Haddenham Park, the story begins with Majesticare’s ethos, “Continue Being Me”. The hobbies, relationships, routines and little pleasures that make someone who they are remain at the heart of their life, with a team who take the time to understand what matters and help make it happen.

That thinking runs throughout the home, where luxury retirement apartments and studios sit seamlessly alongside residential care, nursing care and a dedicated Memory Care Community. People can enjoy the independence of their own apartment, with the reassurance of support close by and a whole community on their doorstep.

The apartments offer space to settle in, welcome family and friends and enjoy familiar routines, with private living areas, kitchenettes and beautifully designed bathrooms. For couples, they offer something especially precious, the opportunity to continue sharing everyday life together, with support shaped around their individual needs. An all-inclusive weekly fee adds reassurance, making it easier to enjoy today and plan for tomorrow.

It is this thoughtful approach to later living that Haddenham Park’s award entry brought to life. The submission explored how elegant design, accessibility, dementia-friendly spaces, hospitality and innovation work together to support independence, dignity and wellbeing as care needs change.

Knight Frank’s published judging process includes reviewing written submissions and photography, followed by independent judging visits to shortlisted homes. From comfort and accessibility to food and nutrition, outdoor spaces, sustainability and how luxury features enrich everyday life, the assessment considers the experience a home creates for the people living there.

At Haddenham Park, that experience might be catching up over coffee in the bistro, gathering the family for a celebration in private dining, enjoying a favourite film at the cinema or taking time for yourself in the wellness spa. The kitchen garden and rooftop sensory garden bring opportunities to spend time outdoors, while the gym supports people to keep moving and doing the things they enjoy.

There is a warm connection with village life, too. The Timeless Memory Café, Friday Lunch Club, coffee mornings and support groups welcome local people into the home, helping friendships flourish and offering families somewhere to find company, understanding and support.

The entry also highlighted technology with a thoughtful purpose. Alexa Smart Properties supports everyday independence through voice-activated services, Nobi provides discreet support with falls detection and prevention, and Ayla supports cognitive stimulation therapy and meaningful engagement for people living with dementia. Behind each innovation is the same ambition: to help people feel more confident, connected and supported.

“We are absolutely thrilled! So much heart, thought and imagination has gone into Haddenham Park, and to see it recognised by Knight Frank is a very proud moment for all of us.

We wanted to create somewhere people could look forward to calling home. Somewhere you can still be you, enjoy the things you love, discover something new and, for couples, continue sharing life together.
Our beautiful surroundings are part of that, but it is our team who make it feel like home. They bring our ‘Continue Being Me’ ethos to life in the way they listen, care and create those special moments that mean so much.

Following Majesticare’s HealthInvestor award earlier this year, this is a wonderful celebration of everyone who has helped shape Haddenham Park and the community we are so proud to be part of.”

Angela Boxall, Chief Executive of Majesticare
