In a dramatic match, the visitors executed a smash-and-grab victory despite being under pressure for much of the game. The home side capitalized on the fast pace of their 3G pitch, while Thame struggled to find their rhythm in the first half. It wasn’t until a defensive injury forced Thame to change formation midway through the second half that they became more threatening, creating several chances. In the 88th minute, Curtis Brown curled in a right-footed shot from the edge of the area to secure a hard-fought victory.

The result drops Thame to third place, with Kennington overtaking them following a win against Brill, who suffered their first defeat of the season. However, Thame could not hold out in the second half, conceding six goals and losing 3-6.

Thame United Women
Thame United Women continued their impressive run in the Thames Valley Counties Women’s League Division Two with a thrilling away victory against Harwell and Hendred Ladies. Thame stormed to a 3-0 halftime lead with two goals from India Cox and one from Yasmin Williams. Harwell and Hendred fought back, scoring early in the second half, but Williams restored Thame’s three-goal advantage. A tense final 15 minutes saw the home side score twice more, making it 4-3, but Thame held on to claim another three points.
