Chinnor are pleased to announce the signing of Moseley stalwart Greg King
30 year old centre Greg King recently announced his departure after 7 seasons at Moseley playing over 120 games including several as captain.
Greg joined Moseley after 5 seasons learning his trade at Worcester Warriors playing several 1st team games whilst also representing England U20's, and gaining the reputation as powerful direct runner with ball in hand and a huge hitter in defence
At Moseley Greg became an instant fan favourite and even though his time was dogged with injury still managed to enjoy great success including representing the Championship XV who beat Canada, and captaining Mosley in 2016/17.
Greg commented, “I’m delighted to have signed at Chinnor. It was a tough moment at Moseley with injury but It’s an exciting time for Chinnor after being promoted to Nat 1. Matt has added some top class players to an already strong squad so we should have a very good first season in the league.”
Matt added, “We’ve been after more depth in midfield and when Greg announced he was leaving Moseley he was the perfect fit for what I was looking for; abrasive and a leader and the fact he lives in the Cotswolds is a bonus! Greg needs a new challenge and when he’s fit I’m sure he will bring a lot to our squad!”
