An elderly lady was mugged in Thame yesterday, the thieves got away with over £1000. The lady had withdrawn the money out of her banks for household repairs when the thieves struck.
But in true Thame style the community has rallied round, and one Thame resident called Ray Carpenter has set up a Just Giving page to hopefully raise the money that the lady lost.
At the time of writing £475 has been raised. One donator said “not everyone is bad in this world” whilst another said “This awful experience has shown what good hearts are out there. Please don't let these low-lifes win by stopping you getting out & about again. Very best wishes from Chinnor”
