2018 Thame Para-Swimming Event

Thame & District Lions Club (CIO) are extremely pleased and proud to announce the first Thame Para-Swimming Event which will be held at Thame Leisure Centre on Saturday the 24th of March 2018.

The event’s activities are being organised and run on our behalf by, Thame Swimming Club, in association with Swim England Para-Swimming and hosted by Thame Leisure Centre.

This event provides swimmers with a Physical, Visual, Hearing and Intellectual (low IQ), a taster of para-swimming with the opportunity to race over a short distance.

The normal £5 Entry Fee has been waived for the 2018 Thame Para-Swimming Event … but we wouldn’t say no to donations on the night to the Thame & District Lions Club (CIO), should participants wish to do so!

Places for the 2018 Thame Para-Swimming Event are limited so, to avoid disappointment, we would advise that you register as soon as possible. The closing date for entry forms is Friday 16th March 2018.

Death Cafe @ Thame Barns Centre
You are warmly invited to attend Death Cafe in Thame. at 7:30pm in room 1 of the Barns Centre, and held on the third Thursday of each month thereafter A Death Cafe is an informal gathering where people can discuss death over tea and cake. We’re aiming to normalise the topic of death, raise acceptance, and help people make the most of their lives by breaking the taboo around mortality. It is not a grief support group or counselling session. These sessions have no agenda, objectives, or themes, allowing for organic, group-directed conversations about anything related to death, from end-of-life planning to fears and feelings, fostering open sharing in a respectful, confidential space. Death Cafe is run on a not-for-profit basis but if you are able to make…
