Farnon & Lake Auctioneers are coming to Thame! 2018 will see us bringing our unique brand of auctioneering to Thame to launch the first of many events here, starting with The Thame Antiques & Collectables Auction on Saturday 17th February 2018. Amongst the hundreds of lots we are delighted to confirm:
- An original Terry O’Neill photograph of the Beatles from 1963: Co-signed by Terry and Paul McCartney, this is an incredibly limited edition of only 2 prints (this is number 1!) of the iconic image of the Beatles in the backyard of Abbey Road in 1963. The image was captured on one of O’Neill’s first ever professional assignments, with The Beatles an up-and-coming band at the time. Now regarded as one of the most iconic shots of the Fab Four, it was the first photograph of a pop group ever to appear on the front cover of a British national newspaper. This edition was printed and signed in 2016.
- ‘The Rhythm of Life’ original painting by John Illsley, founder member and bassist of Dire Straits. John is also a professional artist and this painting is signed by John, having been painted in 2016.
- The Raleigh Traveller bicycle owned by Lady Diana Spencer before she became the Princess of Wales. This iconic and often photographed bicycle comes with full provenance, offered for auction in its original unrestored condition.
For the February auction we are working alongside The Jolly Brew Tea Company, Jack & Alice and The Deli at No.5, bringing specially created offers.
