In 2016, the Trust ran a programme of events where we asked the public what they wanted from healthcare closer to home. This helped us shape and develop the community hubs now running at Marlow and Thame Community Hospitals. Community hubs are all about providing a range of services to help people stay healthy and independent and to avoid having to be admitted to hospital.
We would now like to invite you to come and hear about how those community hubs are progressing. We also want to tell you our plans for bringing care closer to home across Buckinghamshire and give you the opportunity to develop these plans further. Please find below and attached a poster showing the dates and locations of the six events around the County. Further details, including venues, will be available on booking.
We are very keen to listen to local people across the community of Buckinghamshire to hear a range of ideas and suggestions about how we might best deliver care closer to home for the future. On behalf of the Trust, I would like to ask for your help in cascading the poster, to promote the events and to encourage attendance wherever you can. If you have access to a local newsletter, magazine, webpage, notice board, or attend meetings for a local group and can share this information, we would be most grateful. Alternatively, you might be able to let family, friends or neighbours know.
Moving care closer to home is important to everyone. We would like to hear the views of as many people as possible. We are very grateful for any help and support you may be able to give to promoting these opportunities and very much look forward to welcoming you at one of the sessions listed below.
