Local Thame man and football referee, Nathan Fuller has gone viral after a team from Bicester pulled a prank on the unsuspecting ref.
Whilst doing a routine stud check on Kea FC, who play in the Banbury & Lord Jersey league, the Kea players pulled the prank that has now been viewed over a million times.
Usually footballers line up and get their studs checked before the game but as each player had their boots checked they rejoined the line at the back, whilst ref Fuller was none the wiser.
Eventually the referee realised his mishap when the Kea players were jumping over a fence to continue the line.
The video has been posted by Sport Bible and can be viewed here.
Thame Hub caught up with Nathan who was in good spirits despite the clanger, he had the following to say " At first i was totally oblivious to what was happening as the checks were carried out correctly, once completed my full focus was on the match ahead of me. Later that evening to my surprise one of the home team players had posted the video online, which was spotted by a fellow referee. I was just lost for words. I certainly do see the funny side of it though "
