What's being discussed at the Full Council Meeting?

20th August 2026

The Town Council will meet on Tuesday 25 August at 6.30pm in the Upper Chamber at Thame Town Hall.  Residents are welcome to attend.  Full agenda and reports are available on the website.

The meeting will begin with Civic Announcements.

Planning Application P25/S3631/O for Amended Plans at Land to the east of Howland Road (B4012) and south of Kingsey Road will be considered.

The committee will be asked to approve:

  • The appointment of a company to undertake a replacement website for the council
  • Updated Committee membership and updated Standing Orders.
  • Approve for Officers to seek grant funding to cover training and resource for hedge laying.

Members will be presented with reports from representatives on external organisations and a technical summary of the Mayor of Thame’s Charity Trust for the year 2025-26.

Members will receive an update regarding Project Link.

Cllr Swan will present a Motion: Smart Phone Free Childhood

SODC are carrying out initial Stakeholder consultation relating to Speed Limits; the Planning Committee seek Full Council approval for agreed recommendations.  SODC will be undertaking a public consultation via the Council’s Let’s Talk web page later in 2026.

Members of the public are welcome at all meetings.  A public participation period is set aside at the start of each meeting in which the public may ask questions or make comments regarding any matter on the agenda.  In order to speak at a Council meeting, members of the public must apply in writing to the Town Clerk by 5pm on the day preceding the meeting. Join the Stroke UK Meet & Move monthly support group for stroke survivors and their caregivers. Hosted as part of the Stroke Association support network, each session offers helpful information, resources, and a welcoming community. Stroke survivors can take part in a 45–60 minute exercise class led by a qualified instructor, while caregivers can enjoy coffee and social time in the piano lounge and connect with others.
