The Town Council was shocked to learn of the vandalism to all the recently planted trees at Howland Road (south of Phoenix Trail). This is believed to have happened overnight of 8-9 April.
The land is maintained by the Town Council on behalf of OCC, however it was 21st Century Thame and teams of volunteers that planted, cared for and regularly watered the trees.
The trees, some of which were 7ft tall, have been vandalised so badly they are irrecoverable. 21st Century Thame have reported the vandalism to the police and await a crime number.
