Below is an update from Environment & Assets Committee on 3 March.
The committee received a progress report from the Green Living Plan Working Group, following Oxfordshire County Council’s adoption of the Local Cycling and Walking Infrastructure Plan (LCWIP). Thame Town Council will continue to monitor OCC’s delivery of the LCWIP.
The committee has requested that the following Section 106 monies be approved by Full Council for Public Art in Thame, Play Area Improvements and Cuttle Brook Nature Reserve. Further information and project updates can be viewed on our website.
The committee recommended to Full Council that the preferred company be appointed to carry out remedial works to the wooden window frames and redecorate all external windows and doors at the Town Hall.
Approval was given for the tendering process for the replacement roof at the depot, with the process delegated to the Asset Management Working Group. Full Council will review and approve the associated costs in due course.
The council will be exploring additional grant opportunities to support enhancements across local play spaces.
Updates to the Play Area Strategy Policy were formally approved.
Finally, the committee agreed to sign the Deed of Grant of Easements between Thame Town Council and Eastern Power Networks PLC. This agreement covers underground and overhead electric lines and supports at the Stones Close Allotment Site.
