New Dementia Community to Open at Haddenham Park Care Home

6th February 2026

Haddenham Park Care Home & Apartments in Haddenham, Buckinghamshire has announced the opening of Chatsworth, a new specialist dementia care community, set to launch in Spring 2026.

Chatsworth has been purpose-built to support people living with dementia in a calm, light-filled and reassuring environment. Designed to gently stimulate the senses while promoting independence and wellbeing, the community forms part of the wider Haddenham Park Care Home, which already offers residential and nursing care.

Operated by the award-winning Majesticare Group, which has more than 25 years’ experience in high-quality care, Chatsworth will combine expert dementia care with innovative technology and thoughtful design.

To mark the launch of its dementia-friendly floor, Haddenham Park Care Home in Buckinghamshire has also introduced a monthly Memory Care Café, welcoming local people living with dementia and their carers. The café offers a relaxed and supportive space where carers can enjoy a short respite while their loved ones take part in meaningful activities.

Guests can explore the home’s rooftop garden, relax in cosy, familiar spaces and engage with Mobi, an interactive magic table offering games, quizzes and sensory experiences. Robotic cats and dogs also provide comfort and companionship.

Home Manager Tania Kent said:
“It was a pleasure to host our first Memory Care Café and meet so many people from the local community. Creating a safe, welcoming space where people feel understood is at the heart of what we do.”

The first café welcomed 14 attendees, with special thanks extended to Roger, who shared his experience of caring for his wife Janine, who is living with dementia.

The next Timeless Memory Café will take place on Thursday 26th February at 11am at Haddenham Park Care Home & Apartments, Tibbs Road, Haddenham.

You are warmly invited to attend Death Cafe in Thame. at 7:30pm in room 1 of the Barns Centre, and held on the third Thursday of each month thereafter A Death Cafe is an informal gathering where people can discuss death over tea and cake. We’re aiming to normalise the topic of death, raise acceptance, and help people make the most of their lives by breaking the taboo around mortality. It is not a grief support group or counselling session. These sessions have no agenda, objectives, or themes, allowing for organic, group-directed conversations about anything related to death, from end-of-life planning to fears and feelings, fostering open sharing in a respectful, confidential space. Death Cafe is run on a not-for-profit basis but if you are able to make…
