Registrations Open for Thame Sportive 2026 Following Record-Breaking Event

15th January 2026

Cyclists are being invited to saddle up for the Thame Sportive 2026, which will take place on Sunday 14 June, following the outstanding success of last year’s event.

Set in the heart of the Chilterns, the Thame Sportive has become a popular, community-driven cycling event, welcoming riders of all abilities. From seasoned cyclists to those returning to the sport or taking on a new challenge, the event offers a range of routes designed to suit every level of experience.

Participants in 2026 can look forward to scenic rides through the Oxfordshire and Buckinghamshire countryside, with four route options available: 14km, 48km, 80km, and 130km. The event is known for its friendly and supportive atmosphere, strong local backing, and high-quality organisation.

Beyond the riding itself, the Thame Sportive aims to celebrate cycling, community spirit, and charitable causes, bringing together cyclists from across the region for a memorable day of camaraderie and achievement.

Early registration is now open, with organisers encouraging riders to secure their place and invite friends and family to take part. More information and entry details can be found at www.thamesportive.co.uk.

Organisers say they are looking forward to welcoming both returning and first-time riders back to the start line for what promises to be another standout year for the event.

You are warmly invited to attend Death Cafe in Thame. at 7:30pm in room 1 of the Barns Centre, and held on the third Thursday of each month thereafter A Death Cafe is an informal gathering where people can discuss death over tea and cake. We’re aiming to normalise the topic of death, raise acceptance, and help people make the most of their lives by breaking the taboo around mortality. It is not a grief support group or counselling session. These sessions have no agenda, objectives, or themes, allowing for organic, group-directed conversations about anything related to death, from end-of-life planning to fears and feelings, fostering open sharing in a respectful, confidential space. Death Cafe is run on a not-for-profit basis but if you are able to make…
