Hundreds of people gathered at the Thame War Memorial on Sunday 9 November to remember those who have fallen and honour those who serve to defend our democratic freedoms and way of life.
The Act of Remembrance Service began with a procession from the Town Hall to the Memorial Gardens. Mayor, Cllr Andy Gilbert welcomed those in attendance while Revd Mike Reading presented some opening words.
Following the exhortation, local trumpeter Richard Vanryne sounded the Last Post ahead of the two minutes’ silence. During the ceremony a flypast flew over Thame, commemorating those have fallen.
