Spend your weekend celebrating Hogfest

31st October 2025

This event will take place on Saturday 1st November at Thame Town Cricket Club. The afternoon (between 2pm and 6pm) will see a wealth of activities for children and families, including Biscuit Decorating; Bug hotel making; Wild Things Trail Competition; Stalls; Raffle & prizes; Art, poetry and baking competitions.

The competitions are open to adults & children: You can enter as many of them as you want to. Winners will be announced at 4.30pm on the day and on social media. Competitions are all themed around ‘Hedgehogs’ or ‘Nature’.

  • Baking competition: Bring your choice of any bake. Please provide a full list of ingredients with your entry.
  • Poetry competition: Submit your entry on a printed A4 sheet.
  • Art competition: Using any medium of your choice.

All entries must be brought ready to display to Thame Town Cricket Club between 1pm-2pm on the day

In the evening, guests are invited to an adult only night of laughs and hedgehog tales with special guest Hugh Warwick! Hugh will share his hilarious anecdotes about these prickly creatures! Opening performances will be poems by local poets on the theme of hedgehogs and nature.
