OCC are asking for your views on a proposal to introduce a zonal based `Car Club` for the central area of Thame, where users would be able to access the use of a hybrid car club vehicle - which will be available in existing marked bays.
The proposals are being put forward through funding via a 'section 106' agreement paid for by a nearby development, which will:
- provide local residents in and around the Wenman Road development in Thame access to a low emission hybrid car club vehicle, presenting analternative to private car ownership (or second car ownership) and therefore make it possible for local residents to make lower carbon transport choices (including more active and public transport choices) rather than relying on individual private car ownership,
- provide local residents without their own private transport affordable access to a low emission shared vehicle, without the cost and hassle of ownership or conventional car rental, and
- provide local businesses and other organisations with an opportunity to access a shared low emissions car club vehicle for work use as an alternative to current higher emissions fleet/grey fleet vehicles.
Have your say.
Please read the detailed information provided on this consultation FOUND ON THEIR WEBPAGE and take the time to complete the survey as your views and opinions matter. Your response should be completed and returned by 5pm on Friday 14 February 2025.
