The Thames Valley Police (TVP) Rural Crime Taskforce carried out night patrols across South Oxfordshire and the Vale of White Horse, focusing on enforcing waste-carrying regulations and deterring rural offences.
During the operation, officers conducted a stop-check on a Ford Transit carrying scrap metal in Chinnor. Authorities confirmed that the driver held the proper licence and demonstrated a thorough understanding of waste-carrying legislation.
Patrols extended to rural hotspots along the borders with TVP West Berkshire, targeting areas vulnerable to hare coursing and illegal poaching. These proactive measures aim to protect local wildlife and deter criminal activity in the countryside.
TVP continues to prioritize rural safety, encouraging community members to report any suspicious activity.
