6th January 2024
Please see the below update from Thames Valley Orienteering Club:
We hope everyone enjoyed Sunday's Thame Urban Race, despite the watery conditions! Well done to the event officials for altering some sections through Cuttlebrook, mainly on the junior courses, to avoid a flooded bridge (photo evidence supplied!) - the water rose significantly during the race itself, necessitating some last minute changes.
Despite the weather, there were over 300 runners and some fast times around all the courses. We hope everyone enjoyed the course planner's efforts! The results are here: https://tvoc.org.uk/results/thame/ You can see all the courses via the Routegadget link (and please do add your routes too).
Many thanks to Thame Town Council for their support. Huge thanks also to our race sponsors: Thame Cars, The Practice, Racquets fitness centre, Pindar Creative and CPM International.
Our next event is actually next weekend, on Saturday 11 January, at Coombe Hill near Wendover - we have six great courses planned, so why not come along! All the info is at the race page: Coombe Hill N Orienteering Races - it's pre-entry and you can still enter over the next few days.
