Central Division One
In a dramatic match, the visitors executed a smash-and-grab victory despite being under pressure for much of the game. The home side capitalized on the fast pace of their 3G pitch, while Thame struggled to find their rhythm in the first half. It wasn’t until a defensive injury forced Thame to change formation midway through the second half that they became more threatening, creating several chances. In the 88th minute, Curtis Brown curled in a right-footed shot from the edge of the area to secure a hard-fought victory.
Thame United Reserves
Thame United Reserves faced Marston Saints in the Oxford Senior League Premier Division at Meadow View Park. Unfortunately, the home side had to settle for a 1-1 draw against a team near the bottom of the table. Thame played with ten men after a player was sent off, and James Bonwick scored their only goal. The result drops Thame to third place, with Kennington overtaking them following a win against Brill, who suffered their first defeat of the season. Brill remains just four points ahead at the top of the table.
Thame United A
After a few weeks without fixtures, Thame United A returned to action in the Uhlsport Hellenic League Division Two East with a tough away match against second-placed Prestwood. Thame endured a difficult afternoon, losing 5-0. Despite the defeat, Thame remains in fourth place.
Thame United B
In the Aylesbury and District League Division One, Thame United B hosted Stoke Mandeville FC Reserves at Meadow View Park. Despite Stoke Mandeville being second in the league, the home side started strongly, taking a 3-0 lead at halftime thanks to two goals from Euan Macfarlane and one from William Macfarlane. However, Thame could not hold out in the second half, conceding six goals and losing 3-6.
Thame United C
Thame United C was eliminated in the first round of the Marsworth Cup after a 3-1 loss to Aylesbury Vale Hornets. Thame's consolation goal was scored by Edward Barnett.
Thame United Women
Thame United Women continued their impressive run in the Thames Valley Counties Women’s League Division Two with a thrilling away victory against Harwell and Hendred Ladies. Thame stormed to a 3-0 halftime lead with two goals from India Cox and one from Yasmin Williams. Harwell and Hendred fought back, scoring early in the second half, but Williams restored Thame’s three-goal advantage. A tense final 15 minutes saw the home side score twice more, making it 4-3, but Thame held on to claim another three points. The win moves Thame into third place with games in hand on the two teams above them.
