Thame United First Team put their midweek defeat behind them, earning a hard-fought victory over Biggleswade FC in the Pitching In Southern League Central Division One. It was the proverbial game of two halves. For the first 50 minutes, Thame struggled to get into the game, going behind after conceding a penalty 14 minutes in and then falling further behind two minutes after the break from a corner, making it 2–0. Then came the fightback. A change of formation, some good fortune, and determined defending saw the three points return to Oxfordshire. Dan West pulled a goal back in the 61st minute when his shot-turned-cross took a deflection over the keeper's head. On 76 minutes, Brayden Daniel charged down a defender's clearance, with the rebound flying goal-bound past the stranded keeper. Three minutes later, good work on the left from Greg Hackett allowed him to cross the ball into the Biggleswade box. Brayden ran onto it, and his first-time shot beat the keeper. The team showed great character to turn the game around and come away with the victory.
Thame United A were in Uhlsports Hellenic League Division Two East action as they traveled to Aston Clinton to face Aston Clinton Sports. Thame went down 4–2 but remain in third place in the table.
In the Aylesbury and District League, following last week's President League Cup exit, Thame United B suffered another cup exit, this time losing to Division Two side Plough Penguins in the Marsworth Senior Cup. Neither team found the net in normal or extra time, so the game went to penalties, with Plough Penguins progressing to the next round after winning the shootout 4–2.
On Sunday, Thame United Women were in cup action, taking on Longford Park FC Vixens from Division 3 North in the Thames Valley Counties League Cup. It was a good day for Thame, who progressed to the next round with a convincing 5–1 victory. Goals came from Yasmin Williams (two), Emma Leitch on her debut, India Cox, and an own goal to secure the win.
