Christmas greetings from Sinaia to Thame residents

A few weeks before Christmas  by  Felicia Mirza

Sinaia, Romania, 29th November 2022

Motto:

At Christmas, all roads lead home.” – Marjorie Holmes

Christmas time is drawing near. It is time  to wrap our presents for our family and friends. I wonder “ What gifts will make them happy?”

I guess the most precious gifts would be ’a portion of time’ and ‘a fragment of our life’. And to make a perfect Christmas I would sprinkle love. I would sprinkle love  like you sprinkle confetti. A rain of confetti, a rain of love, a rain of good wishes.

Then, everybody would be happy. Everybody would love and be loved.

Everybody would sing  and spread the feeling of  joy:

Joy to the World , the Lord is come!

Let earth receive her King;

Let every heart prepare Him room

And Heaven and nature sing,

And Heaven and nature sing,

And Heaven, and Heaven, and nature sing.

Just take a few minutes and think:

Christmas is celebrated all over  world. It is the time when dreams come true. It is the time when Santa  is flying in his magic sleigh from North to South, from pole to pole  and from East to West. Santa will start from The International Date Line in The Pacific Ocean and travel around the globe. Remember! You can track Santa’s route. Shall we do it together? Let’s follow him and get to know the happiness of sharing and giving!

So, Christmas will join us .Christmas will be the time when we will make new memories. Paraphrasing the poet Carl Sandburg, I would say  that we should Gather the faces of our family and friends,

Gather the scattered light of  stars

Gather the smiles of people around,

Gather for years to come.

And then, when happy moments leave stealthily

Loosen your hands, let go and say good bye.

Let the faces take the love,

Let the stars shine in other skies,

Let the smiles spread over the Earth.

Loosen your hands, let go and Say ‘Till next year when we shall  meet again”

Merry Christmas and A Happy New Year’.
