There has recently been an increase not just in the amount of litter left in our parks (despite the many bins that are provided), but more worryingly a lot of deliberately smashed glass, particularly in the play areas and around the benches. Although the Town Council's maintenance team, often kindly assisted by members of the public, spend a lot of time every morning litter picking, trying to ensure all the broken glass is removed is often extremely difficult. Please be extra vigilant if you are walking your dog or are with small children in our parks and play areas this summer.
