In April:
53 food parcels were distributed providing for 66 adults and 63 children
55% of the households receiving food parcels included children
In May:
60 food parcels were distributed providing for 79 adults and 49 children
47% of the households receiving food parcels included children
The level of need in recent months has been below the peak experienced during the winter months but is still higher than experienced before the pandemic. Sharing Life are currently actively working with their key partners to prepare for the anticipated increase in demand resulting from the current cost of living crisis and are exploring ways of ensuring the best access to the cheapest available staple foods and how they can further support households on low incomes, particularly when the full impact of the energy price rises begin to impact in the autumn.
