CHINNOR RFC Thame is delighted to confirm our first senior matches in more than a year with two friendlies lined up for our Senior Squad in May.
We have a double-header against our local rivals and National League 1 counterparts, Rams to look forward to next month.
We will make the short trip to Old Bath Road on Saturday, May 22, before we play host on Saturday, May 29.
The matches, which will both be 3pm kick-offs, will be played under the Rugby Football Union’s adapted laws, with no scrums or mauls permitted.
Chinnor RFC Thame Director of Rugby, Richard Thorpe said: “I am delighted to announce that we will be taking on our local rivals Rams at the end of May. Our players previously trained without any certainty of playing fixtures. But this news has brought a renewed energy, focus and a real sense of purpose at training, and we look forward to closing off the 2020/21 season with rugby at Kingsey Road.”
We hope to be able to welcome back supporters for the game on May 29 and we will provide further details as soon as possible.
