Foodbank
69 food parcels were delivered
These provided for 120 adults and 107 children
38% of these were referred by a partner agencies.
As mentioned before, a much higher proportion are self-referring themselves than used to be the case. In common with other support agencies they are taking a more flexible approach to this than during normal times as they are aware of the increased pressures that many households are experiencing. When it is clear that a client would benefit from receiving further advice and support they are doing our best to ‘signpost’ them to the most appropriate agency.
Community Larder
During the last month a few households have dropped out of the scheme or decided to wait until we are based at Christchurch in the Upper High Street and a few more have joined. There are currently 62 active members and a team of volunteers deliver boxes of non-perishable food, fruit, vegetables and bread every Thursday.
Donations to the Foodbank continue at a very high level which is fantastic. Please encourage everyone you know to download the Foodbank app. This gives up to date information on the most needed items.
