One of our Director's is taking on a running challenge on Sunday 26th April for local Charity Thomley. The 2.6 challenge is a national campaign to help save charities during Covid 19, put on by the London Marathon which unfortunately has been cancelled on Sunday 26th.
Joe is also the Operations Manager of Thomley, so has a keen interest in helping the charity through what are tough times for the charity sector. He is looking to run 26 laps of Thomley's 1km cycle track.
"I am keen to not only do my bit by raising funds for a charity I love, but also raising awareness in the community that charities such as Thomley rely so heavily on community giving and support. I would love anyone else who fancies a challenge whilst at home to get involved in the 2.6 Challenge, all the support is really appreciated. Any challenge that is related to 26.2 (the distance of the London Marathon) is fine! 26 laps of your garden, 26 jumps on your trampoline - someone even suggested eating 26 bars of chocolate!"
To support Joe directly, here is his Just Giving page. To get involved yourself, please find more details on Thomley's website or email: [email protected] with your challenge idea.
