Tetsworth attended Oxford High School on Thursday 27th February to play in the Year 5/6 Girls' on the Ball Football Tournament.
Fourteen teams attended the tournament in very cold and windy conditions. Tetsworth won four and drew two of their six group games with goals coming from Lolah Riley and Rebecca Wilson.
Tetsworth played Windmill Primary in the quarter-final beating them 2-0 with goals from Lolah. They then played Phil and Jim's in the semi-final. The score ended 0-0 and Tetsworth defeated them in a penalty shootout with penalties from Skye Redman-Bowden and Lolah and penalty saves from Ruby South.
Tetsworth faced Oxford High School in the final and that also finished 0-0 and went to a penalty shootout. Penalties from Angel Mustion and Skye and more penalty saves from Ruby ensured that Tetsworth won the penalty shootout 2-1 on penalties and were declared winners of the Oxford High School Girls' on the Ball Year 5/6 Football Tournament 2020.
