A classical concert held on the 8 February in Thame has raised £444 for Lymphoma Action, the only charity in the UK dedicated to supporting anyone affected by lymphoma.
Local soprano singer Sara Kalic chose to donate the proceeds from Songs of Love and Loss to the charity to offer her support to those affected by lymphoma. She also wanted to raise awareness of the condition as her husband has been in remission from Burkitt’s lymphoma for seven years, after being diagnosed in his early thirties.Sarah Thorn, Community and Partnerships Manager at Lymphoma action describes the amount raised as ‘fantastic’. She adds: “we are so grateful to Sara and her family for their fantastic fundraising efforts and for raising awareness of lymphoma as the fifth most common cancer in the UK.”
