This is a landmark day for Thame Football as we can confirm that they have had planning permission approved for the expansion of the ASM Stadium and a new artificial 3G Pitch.
Thame Football Chairman Richard Carr has been working on this for months and the result is an even brighter future for Thame football.
The 'new' artificial turf 3G pitch:
Full size with floodlights and will support the development and increased participation for youth and senior football. This fantastic new facility will also be a huge factor in supporting players of all ages and levels to improve their game.
The 'improved' Pitch 4:
New Floodlights and Stands for Seating / Standing area up to 100 people
The Future ASM Stadium plans:
New 75 seater covered stand behind the goal
New 125 capacity covered area for standing behind the goal
New toilet to add to the already superb facilities
New Floodlights and Stands for Seating / Standing area on Pitch 4
All of the above means that the ASM Stadium would be improved to Category C, meaning it is suitable for use at Tier 7 in English Football (Southern League Premier Division). It would also bring the seating capacity to 293.
