CHINNOR Rugby Club Thame are delighted to announce the permanent signing of James Tyas until the end of the season.
The back-row forward returns to Kingsey Road from Championship side London Scottish.
Former Bath academy player Tyas, who spent two years at Chinnor between 2014 and 2016, was on loan at the Oxfordshire club during the final month of 2019.
And the former Scotland Under 20 international is delighted to secure a permanent move to the National League 1 side.
Tyas said: “It’s absolutely brilliant to be here.
“First of all, I’d just like to say a massive thank you to Matt (Williams, director of rugby) and Simon (Vickers, chairman) for giving me the opportunity to come back to Chinnor.
“It’s something that I’m really excited about and that I’m ready to get stuck in to.
“Chinnor have improved so much since I was here last time and you can see the step each year.”
Tyas added: “This is an amazing opportunity to come back and play for a club I love.
“I’ve seen the Friday Club since I’ve come back and all the support at Chinnor is brilliant.
"Everyone has made me feel welcome since walking back through the gates and that’s such a nice feeling.”
Director of rugby Williams said: “I'm delighted to welcome James back to Chinnor.
"His passion for the black and white is undeniable and away from his rugby ability his technical detail is second to none. He will add a lot to the professionalism of what we are trying to achieve."
