APPEAL
We are appealing for witnesses in relation to an incident involving the Taking without Consent of a Motor Vehicle and Impersonating a Police Constable.

M40 Southbound between J7 & J8
We are releasing a witness appeal in relation to an incident that took place on the M40 Motorway. The victim was indicated to stop by an unmarked vehicle using blue lights while driving towards London, the victim has stopped on the hard shoulder and been approached by two individuals who have instructed them to exit their vehicle, after which they have entered the drivers seat and made off leaving the victim on the hard shoulder. The vehicle is described as an older model white Renault Megane estate which displayed police-style blue light instruments in the grill, the victim was not able to identify any registration. Both suspects were wearing items that resembled police uniforms including a cap and protective vest.
We are appealing for any information that may assist us in identifying this vehicle or its occupants including any dashcam footage or any witnesses who were driving on the M40 at the time of the incident. If you believe you have information, please contact the police by calling
