Oxfordshire Youth Awards – nominate now

In May 2020, Oxfordshire Youth, the counties leading Youth Organisation, will be hosting a spectacular event not to be missed. The event, which is sponsored by BLENHEIM, will shine a light on Oxfordshire’s outstanding, hard-working and talented children and young people (age 8-21) who deserve to be celebrated. Anyone can nominate, from teachers, to parents or sport coaches, so we hope you will join us in spreading the word by sending this information around your parish and encouraging everyone to nominate an outstanding young person today. Whether the outcome of their action was big or small, we want to hear about the efforts that young people make as active and positive citizens in the county.

The event will take place at the New Theatre on Wednesday 13th of May 2020, where they aim to fill all 1800 seats with young people and their proud families. For those who cannot make it to the event, our Digital Sponsor Oxford Media Factory will be producing a live stream so that you can tune in at home!

There are eight awards categories and you can nominate individuals and groups:

The local group will be playing something for everyone, including arrangements of hits by Andy Williams, Mark Ronson, Charles Aznavour and Leonard Cohen, together with classical favourites and a nostalgic film medley. Octocello will be joined by The Voice Section, an a capella choir based in Ealing, singing their varied repertoire of hits. All proceeds from the concert will go to Thames Valley Air Ambulance, in memory of one of the group’s founder members who was tragically killed in a car accident in 2023.
