Mayor’s Cadet 2025/26

The Mayor’s Cadet for 2025 – 26 representing the Army Cadets is Sophie Coles, who will be celebrating her 14th birthday on Saturday!

Sophie has been a member of the Oxfordshire ACF Thame Detachment for 5 months and in September will attend Aylesbury University Technical College to study Health and Social Care with a view to becoming an Army nurse.

She is a member at Racquets and plays squash for the ladies’ teams representing Oxfordshire and the South of England and is currently ranked 24 in the U15s and 38 in the U17s in England. She is also a keen runner and loves reading, baking & cooking, musicals and history.

Thame, Oxfordshire, is set to host its inaugural Pride Festival on Saturday, 21st June 2025. This free event aims to celebrate inclusivity and diversity within Thame and its surrounding communities. Thame Pride has partnered with local institutions such as Lord Williams’s School, Thame Library, and Thame Town Council to offer a variety of educational activities.
