Thame made the 150 mile round trip to Yaxley in Peterborough. It was an afternoon of testing conditions mixed with rain and wind.

The red kites entered this fixture in 11th place and Yaxley were sitting 16th in the league table.

Fred Chapman came in to replace Hill in goal following his 3 game suspension for a straight red card last weekend in the FA Trophy.

Thame were unfortunate to not be ahead at half time with Ryan Blake having a chance in the 21st minute which was saved by Butcher to deny the visitors the lead.

Yaxley grabbed the only goal of the game on 56 minutes with Bettles putting the ball into the net for the home team.

It is a quick turnaround in fixtures with little rest. Thame have an away trip to Coleshill Town on Monday evening.
