Are you #friendsofthethatch?
The Thatch in Thame has been taking to the streets to launch Friends of The Thatch and thank the people of Thame who have been loyal to the pub since it first opened its doors back in the summer of 2008.
The entire town centre of Thame was taken over earlier this week with posters and banners popping up everywhere along with the team from the pub in flash mob style spreading the word about Friends of The Thatch, a new way for The Thatch to offer special gifts and exclusive treats whilst saying thank you to its loyal guests. People flocked to sign up to get their hands on the card and the fantastic things on offer.
Friends of The Thatch is the brainchild of Peach partner Frazer Sutherland and the pub’s general manager Evelin Rae, who between them have been welcoming guests from Thame and further afield for over a decade.
“We’ve created Friends of The Thatch to say thank you to the people who have loyally supported us, our valued guests,” he says. “We’ve enjoyed a special place on the social scene here in Thame for over ten years now, and it’s been brilliant to see the pub thrive.
“That it has thrived is down to our guests, who have also become our friends” he says. “Without our friends, The Thatch would not have become the place it is today, and we really wanted to find a way to say a proper thank you to the people who have been there for us.
“So we’ve launched a special Friends of The Thatch card which is our way of saying thank you,” he continues. “With it, come monthly treats and gifts alongside exclusive invites to our events, with a few surprises thrown in along the way. Get your hands on one and you’ll also enjoy a different offer each month and be among the first to find out what’s coming up at the pub,” he says.

“We’re really looking forward to saying a big thank you to our guests,” adds Frazer. “It’s our way of giving something back to everyone who has stayed local to us all this time. Make sure you get yours and visit us soon so we can thank you in person.”
