Police appeal for witnesses following RTC on M40 near junction 6

Thames Valley Police is appealing to anyone with footage of a road traffic collision on the M40 to come forward.

At just before 4pm today (15/10), the Force received reports of a car towing a caravan travelling in the wrong direction on the northbound carriageway of the M40.

A few minutes later, the car towing the caravan was in collision with two other vehicles near junction 6.

We would urge anyone with footage of the collision, or of the car towing the caravan to contact police as soon as possible.

We would ask that people refrain from sharing footage or photos of either the collision or the vehicles involved on social media.

Both carriageways remain closed at this time.
