The 2019 Thame Food Festival line-up will be a delicious mix of foodie delights
Yet again Thame Food Festival will be a real destination on the 28th & 29th September. There will be a myriad of food and drink experiences, yummy foodie sampling and children’s activities.
Artisan and Street Food Markets
Over 100 artisan producers will be showcasing their food and drink delights. Spoilt for choice…sweet, savoury, hot, cold – there really will be something delicious to suit every taste! Plus there’s a brand new BBQ area – the Kamado Joe Fire Show – with their full BBQ Fire Squad putting on the ultimate show with masterclasses and workshops.
Chef and Baker Demonstrations
A myriad of demonstrations will be on the Magimix stage, featuring Alex Hollywood, Briony May and Jane Devonshire to name just a few. Not to mention an interview on the Saturday with one of the country’s best loved cookery writers – Mary Berry!
Dog Demonstration and Show
Once again, there will be dog shows and demonstrations by Hearing Dogs for Deaf People. Enter your four legged companion into one (or more) categories on the day. All money raised goes directly to the charity.
Cooking Fun for the Kids
For the first time, there will be a series of fabulous cooking workshops for the kids run by Fun Kitchen and sponsored by the Coop. Promising to be a delightful mix of hand on mess and education; children will get the opportunity to join a 30 minute session where they can choose to make either Apple & Cinnamon swirls or Oodles of Noodles! All you have to do is come along on the day to book a session.
Children’s Activities
Working with local charity Thomley (based just outside of Thame in Worminghall) there will be a dedicated Children’s Activity Area featuring lots of art and fun things to do. This will include face painting, glitter tattoos, archery, giant bubbles, football and sumo suits.
More than just food
Get into the festival vibes with the dedicated live music area, culminating on Sunday with a performance by United Vibe featuring local Elliot Horne – fresh from their X Factor experience. The band sponsored by FestivAles will be a fabulous finale to the finish the live music presented by the First Thursday Music Club and Thame Town Music Festival. There’ll also be a pop-up pub which will be showcasing a fantastic range of local award-winning brews, plus a Meet the Brewer with free tastings first thing on the Sunday and a chance to win a brewery tour! For the shopaholics, step into the marquee of eclectic home and kitchenware with Humble Country. They too will be giving visitors a chance to win an amazing bundle of prizes from their many gorgeous small businesses.
