On Monday 22 July, the Mayor of Thame visited the Thame Air Cadets who have recently been awarded a grant from Thame Town Council. During her visit, the Cadets put on displays of activities which the cadets get up to. The grant has been used to purchase tents, rucksacks and trangia cookers to allow the cadets to take part in training camps and Duke of Edinburgh expeditions. The Mayor will be visiting Thame Museum today to see the refurbished story and costume corner, which was also funded via a grant from Thame Town Council. Applications for Town Council grants open again in March 2020.
The Mayor attended the Royal British Legion’s Summer BBQ in Thame on Saturday where the proceeds from the raffle were kindly donated to the Mayor’s charity, Lord Williams’s School Young Carers.
