Children from Windmill Nursery in Chinnor got into the Spring spirit this week at a planting ceremony at Bloor Homes’ Windmill Chase development.
The children, aged three and four, put paint to paper to come up with some colourful creations to inspire the design of the troughs and hanging baskets at the recently launched Mill Lane development. They were then invited to get their hands dirty and help with the planting.
Amanda Payne, nursery teacher at Windmill Nursery commented: “The children really loved getting involved in the project. We talked about the new homes being built and how it would look nice to have some flowers outside. We then looked at pictures of garden planting and the children painted and stuck using similar colours.
“It was really exciting for the children to visit the development today and get involved in bringing their ideas to life – they had a fantastic time and the end result looked great.”
Vanessa Macnee, Sales Director for Bloor Homes South Midlands added: “The launch of our showhomes is always an exciting occasion but it was made even more special at Windmill Chase with the unveiling of the planting boxes and hanging baskets designed by local nursery children. They are the perfect addition to the development.”
Windmill Chase currently offers a range of three bedroom homes, starting from £400,000, with the three storey, three bedroom Acton showhome now open for viewings.
