Charity Football Family Fun Day Raises over £7000 for Thame Valley Air Ambulance

The Charity Football Family Fun Day which was held in Thame on the bank holiday weekend has raised £7,349.00 for Thames Valley Air Ambulance.

It hardly seems like 4 days have passed since the event and still we are getting congratulation messages and positive comments on what a great day it was. It makes all the weeks and months of planning worthwhile to see so many happy faces, all of whom came together to help raise money for such a worthwhile charity. So to all the wonderful people of Thame and the surrounding communities I say a massive ‘THANK YOU’ – together we have raised £7,349 for Thames Valley Air Ambulance which is awesome. As always an event such as this cannot go ahead without a ton of thank you’s – to all the local businesses who supported via advertising, sponsorship, donations, raffles prizes or giving their services for free – thank you! To TFP for allowing us to use the ground and their facilities whilst promoting what a great football club they are – thank you! To all the volunteers (you know who you are) we could not put an event like this on without you giving up your time – thank you! To Martin Bell who not only organised an Iron Maiden XI and encouraged them to travel some distance on a BH Monday in order to play a great match, but who also persuaded Teddy Sheringham to come along and play a full 90 minutes – thank you!!. Not only did Teddy score one of the best goals he was so supportive and generous with his time afterwards!! Wow!! To my inspired husband Stuart Gibson whose vision to do this again and his determined effort to get a great team trained and ready for the return match – well done, you should be super proud! But the biggest THANK YOU has to go to 3 very special ladies:Sarah Stevens, Ella Cork and Sharon Smits, also known as the ‘Dreambabes’. Without you amazing ladies we would not have had a chance – you are awesome. THANK YOU , THANK YOU , THANK YOU – roll on next year.
